The Renegades were a crime-fighting group in Gatlon City made up of Captain Chromium, Blacklight, Tsunami, The Dread Warden and Lady Indomitable. Originally, the small group fought gangs and criminals in Gatlon City in an effort to return the city to peace and overcome the fear of prodigies. Unfortunately, Lady Indomitable died in her efforts.
After the defeat of Ace Anarchy, the remaining members of the Renegades became the Council. The council had the Renegade Headquarters built and started recruiting prodigies to help them keep peace and order in Gatlon City. Every year, there would be a Renegade Trial which helped choose candidates for the Renegades. Soon, the idea spread and many cities adopted their own efforts towards creating a Renegade group.
